Stay away, unethical and do nothing they say they will do - turn up late with a rental van and no equipment. My experience using guys from Gumtree was better and cheaper. Walkers look and sound professional but they are as dodgy as the AFR Association. An industry that should be under investigation and regulated. Do not pay in advance and do not use this mob. Family businesses do not treat their customers with such contempt.
I've used Walkers recently for my move from Sydney to Melbourne and I thoroughly regret that I did. They are good at making positive impression the first time but once you sign the contract, they don't seem to care about you. No communication whatsoever. I had to give multiple phone calls in order to get my cartons delivered. (You pay for the cartons but what they give you are some dodgy old boxes that are all falling apart.) The uplift was on Tuesday and my items were due to be delivered on Friday but they decided to deliver them on Monday saying something about "the train being late" - and they called me up on Thursday to tell me this. They gave me an excuse that they've tried to call me once earlier but I didn't answer but I would like to say that there are other modes of communication such as SMS and email - they had my email address so I can't see why they couldn't email me.They damaged my furniture and items and no apology. They don't seem to care at all about my belongings. Spoken to some arrogant woman on the phone about the claim but she was of no use. Don't bother applying for their insurance because they will make all possible excuses not to accept your claim. Don't bother writing "fragile" in any of your boxes because they will ignore it. (In fact, the only box I written "fragile" on was the box that was most damaged out of 20or so I had).In conclusion, please avoid this company like the plague.
A very well run business that gave me confidence in their service right from the start. On the day the guys turned up early and were very pleasant and helpful throughout the entire move. I highly recommend Walkers Moving & Storage to anyone considering moving locally or Interstate.

I could not praise the two removalists highly enough, they were wonderful. They took the stress out of my move. They were friendly, happy and nothing was a bother to them. Very helpful with placement of the furniture in the new place. It was also lovely to be wished all the best
